ARGE ACTIVITIES IN ISTON
Quality Control Activity in ISTON has three steps; in the Entrance, in the Process and the Last Control. In this scope, the control of every kind of purchased raw material starting from their entrance to their delivery to users as a product, is performed according to TS and EN, if needed ASTM and DIN standards in ISTON laboratories consistent with the monthly quality control experiment plan.
Furthermore experiment demands form outside are met in accordance with the related standards in ISTON laboratories.
ISTON is a TS-EN-ISO 9001 certificated foundation, at the same time it is a member of Türkiye Prefabrik Birliği(Turkish Prefabric Association).
Some of AR-GE studies in ISTON are these:
- Optimum design of high resistant graded cement based composite materials that can be used for prefabric element production in city.
- New generation protective concretes that can be used in strategic buildings against earthquakes.
- Concretes with synthetic fibre produced through the extrusion method: production and application
- Production, physical qualities and mechanical behaviours of self-compacting concretes.
- Bar spacer, corrosion in reinforcing bars, inside damage, big emptiness, analysis of thickness of the casted concrete and peeling between asphalt and concrete, cracks due to alkali-silicate reaction and fire damage are detected by non-destructive testing.
- Tracing of concrete hardening time by shift waves
- Ecological and economical employability of waste materials in landscaping and environmental design. (Analysis of employability of steel plant slag in cement and concrete.)
- Pitching (granite, ceramic, metal, wood, etc.)
- Parquet with the appearance of natural stone (sanded)
- Flooring strip with the appearance of natural stone (sanded)
- Strips with reflector
- Concrete slab with max.1600kgfm3 density.
- Chimney base elements
- Chimney elements with encastere stairs
- Grease interceptor, grease trap
- Reactive powder concrete (compressive strength>2000kgfcm2)
